What should each student bring to class?
Each student should bring their beginner's permit, an extra $5.00 if they are eating lunch with us and a sweatshirt or sweater (the classroom tends to be rather cool). We would also recommend you prepare ahead and discuss when the student is available for their behind-the-wheel time in advance. We also recommend that each student call their parents during scheduling to coordinate their schedule.
Do I have to sign up in advance for class?
We would like to hear from you in advance of the class in order to give you information about the class. We also like to prepare a training package for you in advance. We will welcome you at any class unannounced. Come on in!!!!
How long does the class last?
It starts at 8:00 am and lasts until 5:00 pm, but students are asked to be there between 7:20 am and 7:45 am for registration.
How does lunch work?
Students are allowed to pack a lunch, parents can drop off something, or they can bring $5.00 and we order pizza. Lunch is from 12:00-1:00 pm, and we recommend students stay during the lunch hour to meet with their instructor to schedule their driving appointments.
Where are you located?
We are located at 4051 Broad River Rd. between Piney Grove and St. Andrews. If you visit our Directions page you can print out a map
When do I sign up for the behind-the-wheel time?
When you attend the classroom portion of your training, you will be assigned an instructor. The instructor will meet with you either during the lunch period or after the class is over. The instructor will make every effort to make a schedule that works around your schedule according to their availability.
Will you pick me up from home or from school for the behind-the-wheel training??
Yes. We serve the area of Chapin, Irmo, and West Columbia. We may ask you to meet us at a mutually acceptable location if you live outside of that area.
