Advantage Driving Academy's driver education programs were designed to exceed the expectations of your driver training student. We know that you, as parents, already have an investment in your student's driver training, and want to ensure their success and safety. Our extraordinary programs were designed by Police officers and  former DMV Employees to meet the current needs of your student with up-to-date information and the highest quality training techniques. 

Teen New Driver Training Program Designed for both new and more experienced student drivers

Advantage Driving Academy has designed exceptional programs for teen novice drivers which cater to the individual needs of each student.  We don't need to charge extra for a program or have extra programs when our programs are flexible enough to meet the needs of each student.

Our 8-hour classroom instruction has been created to serve the most demanding student in a lecture-style, engaging and fun format. We exceed the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requirements for content and instruction. The student will learn the risks of driving, adjusting speed to conditions, driving in bad weather, aggressive visual searching, and South Carolina State Law. We also thoroughly cover: Signs, Signals, and Markings, the mechanics of a turn, Emergency Procedures, Starting, Stopping and accelerating, Intersections, Angle, Perpendicular and Parallel Parking, Turns, Weather Driving, Sharing the Road with Large Vehicles...and yes, we teach each student about the DMV Road Test.

Advantage Driving Academy's Behind-the-Wheel instruction is a rigorous, 6 hour program. We will take your student through residential streets, highway, freeway, and downtown driving situations which will constantly challenge your student beyond anything they have previously experienced. We will provide a complete continuity of training by relating all of the subjects taught in the classroom to the actual driving situation. Your student will end each of their driving sessions with a clear idea about where their abilities are and what they need to practice between each session. We also will teach the necessary skills and maneuvers necessary to pass the DMV road test.

What is most exciting about Advantage Driving Academy's Driver Training Programs is that they are flexible and designed to meet the needs of each student according to where they are as an individual student.  We go the extra mile to communicate to parents and students to find the REAL needs of the student. We believe that the parent is key to the students progress and practice of techniques. We engage the parents to get involved in deciding the program parameters by communicating our view of the student's progress and establishing the students level of understanding and performance.
